I’m Danielle, and I live right on the coast in South Wales. I have two sons and a hubby who is extremely supportive of my work.
My own journey into the birth world started in 2016 when I left my 15 year career as a librarian and studied with Nurturing Birth. I had the most amazing mentor who gave me the confidence to believe in myself in those early months and still supports me to this day! It was an absolute honour to be asked to join the Nurturing Birth team as I know first hand how important it is to have someone you can grow close to in this work, to encourage you and help you find your flow as a Doula. I have been the Mentor Co-ordinator here at Nurturing Birth for the past two years now, and couldn’t ask for a better role, or team! We are doula family.

Being a Doula has brought me the greatest rewards, so much so that I have expanded my birth business to now being a qualified Aquanatal instructor and Antenatal teacher. If you had told me years ago that my full time job would be in pregnancy and birth…I would never have believed it. But here I am, and loving every minute! In my spare time I love music, dance, laughter, and spending time at the farm with my horse Finn.

As my mentee you will get plenty of honesty, a good listener, virtual hugs and probably a few belly laughs along the way! I will be a sounding board for your thoughts and feelings, whilst building a relationship where you feel at ease sharing your experiences with me. You never stop learning and growing in knowledge when it comes to birth, so my priority is to help you navigate your path and support you in becoming the Doula that YOU want to be.

I’ll be there for you every step of the way to discuss finding your first clients, doula interviews, how to get your business up and running, and of course…your first birth! Once you are attending births I will be ready to hear all about your experiences whether they have left you on cloud nine or you need space to process your thoughts.
