Distance Doula Course
This course is perfect for you if you live outside of the UK or in remote areas, if you want to meet doulas across the globe, if you enjoy learning in your own time, if you have responsibilities at home which make travelling to a course complicated
Book NowOur Distance Course is a combination of Zoom sessions, online learning, plus a one-to-one mentoring session – a perfect option if you are wanting to train as a doula but are self-isolating, living in a locked-down city/country or live far from any of our in-person courses.
What you can expect from the Distance Doula Course:
- 5 days (approximately 4 hours per day) spent with two experienced working doulas exploring the doula role, debriefing experiences and meeting like-minded people on Zoom
- Pre-course work to prepare for the course – exploring beliefs, feelings and knowledge around the perinatal period.
- Opportunities for pair and smaller group work in breakout rooms
- Access to an online learning platform with modules prepared by trusted and respected specialists to watch in your own time
- A session with your chosen mentor from the Nurturing Birth mentor team once you have completed your course during which you can reflect on your personal experiences and learning, set goals for the future and have space to be encouraged and nurtured.
- One-to-one session with your Course Facilitator after the course to discuss your coursework and action plan
- Six months to complete the post-course modules including reflective, research and preparation for business work
- Nurturing Birth Course Certificate on completion of the course and study modules to the satisfaction of the Course Facilitator
- Maximum 8 people per group, not including facilitators
- Opportunity to purchase additional online modules from the Expansive Course
- Opportunity to continue with mentoring on completion of the course at the Nurturing Birth rate of £65 per session
- Option to purchase a hard copy of the Nurturing Birth manual
